Albuquerque, NM. (March 26, 2020) – The Garrity Group Public Relations today announced it will unveil the results of the 2020 Garrity Perception Survey (GPS) over the next week using a process familiar with sports fans. Since 2011, the GPS has used a third party scientific survey to determine who New Mexican’s trust, what industries residents favor and how we access news and information. To celebrate the 2020 Garrity Perception Survey, the firm will borrowing an approach from college basketball, taking a page out of the group of 64 to create something we call Brackets of Perception!
“This time of year our office would be in the midst of March Madness ™ brackets and watching games on CBS,” says firm President Tom Garrity. “We’d also be preparing our annual Perception Survey. So, we thought it would be fun to mix the two in Brackets of Perception. The 32 ‘teams’ are composed of 17 industries and 15 professions going head to head, through the Sweet 16, Elite 8 and Final 4 until we have a Most Favored in New Mexico title.”
The bracket seedings are based on the results of the original scientific survey queried by Albuquerque’s Research and Polling in 2011. Professions and Industries that have been added since 2011 will have the lowest seed (28, 29, 30, 31, 32).
Enthusiasts are encouraged to visit The Garrity Group website (garritypr.com) to download an official bracket. Participants should fill out the entire bracket and include their name, email address and a 501-C-3 Non Profit that is registered in the State of New Mexico. Post the bracket to The Garrity Group’s Facebook Page then tune-in there for daily updates. This is a fun way to learn more about who we trust and what industries we favor in New Mexico. It is not a game of chance, there are no monetary prizes and it is free to enter.
The competition will begin with the round of 32 on Monday, March 30, with each following day consisting of the subsequent rounds.
