New Mexico Based Firm Recognized by Nation’s Largest PR & Communications Professional Organization
New Mexico based public relations firm, The Garrity Group, has been honored with a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation by the Public Relations Association of America for the 2011 Garrity Perception Survey.
The Garrity Group was recognized for its excellence in execution in the brochure category (less than 17 pages), for its development of the 2011 Garrity Perception Survey booklet. The survey was developed to gauge perceptions of New Mexico residents about their favorability of the state’s leading industries, trust in professions and what media residents access for news and information.
The Public Relations Society of America Bronze Anvil Award recognizes outstanding public relations tactics. For 40 years the Bronze Anvil Awards have celebrated the “best of the best” in public relations tactics, reflecting their growing scope, creativity and importance in strategic public relations. This year’s competition drew a total of 784 entries. Of those, only 83 organizations were selected by the judges to receive a Bronze Anvil.
“It’s very humbling to have the Garrity Perception Survey, an idea that surfaced from our strategic planning, honored with the industry’s highest honor,” says Tom Garrity, the firm’s president. “The GPS is a great tool for our clients and a resource for the community when identifying a baseline for perceptions of New Mexico residents.”
