The Garrity Perception Survey (GPS) is the premier resource for understanding New Mexico residents. Since 2011, the annual survey measures who residents trust, which industries are favorable and how residents access news and information.
The unique survey provides insights about how New Mexico residents views can vary based on their geography and demographics.
In addition to surveying New Mexico residents on the favorability of 17 industries and institutions, The Garrity Group commissioned Research & Polling to also query residents’ trust of 15 professions, how residents access news and information and what kind of trust they place in those sources.
New for the 2018 GPS is a look at how perception in certain industry clusters has shifted over the past seven year (2011-2017). Specifically we focus on the Energy, Education , Religion, Healthcare and Legal systems. We also take a look at hour New Mexico residents are slowly embracing digital media as a primary source for news and information.
The survey is a great tool for understanding the preferences of residents living in New Mexico's five regions and guides the firm’s four-step process of research, planning, execution and evaluation. The GPS is the first step to data based decision making.
