Energy
Our work in the renewable energy industry spans one-time projects and ongoing work for industry organizations.
New Mexico’s commitment to renewable energy is seen in the Energy Transition Act’s requirement for 100% zero-carbon electricity for utilities by 2045 and rural electric cooperatives by 2050. New Mexico is ripe with some of the best wind and solar resources in the western hemisphere.
The area of Central and Eastern New Mexico is a wind powerhouse. Southwest and Northwest parts of New Mexico have the greatest solar resources, thanks to a combination of elevation and pollution-free skies.
Based on the annual The Garrity Perception Survey, a scientific survey of New Mexico residents, the renewable energy industry is the seventh most favorable industry (out of 17 industries).
Residents who are likely to have a favorable impression of the renewable energy industry include voters who are registered as democrat have a graduate degree, household income of $40,000-$79,99 each year, and between 50-64 years of age.
The Garrity Group’s work spans one-time projects and ongoing work from energy generation and transmission to utility and regulatory expertise.
