New Mexico True. The concept was developed by former Tourism Secretary Monique Jacobson and represents authenticity in the Land of Enchantment. In 2018, there were an estimated 37.5 million visitors to New Mexico. That year, the travelers spent nearly $7.1 billion in the state, with more than half of that amount on lodging, food, and beverage establishments.

We featured in-state tourism in consecutive Garrity Perception Surveys. Wanting to know where New Mexicans go when they plan a “staycation” we learned that residents in the Southern part of the state were more prone to head ..(where do they head?). Certain demographics were more prone to head south. The information helped our clients to be successful and increase in-state market share.
